La situazione sembra essere sotto controllo. Ho ancora qualche giorno di tempo, ma se non succedono + casini nei prossimi giorni parto per pattaya. Non ho voglia di studiarmi alternative: shanghai, macao, hong kong, filippine.. io per prepare un viaggio in un solo posto sono capace di passarci 100 ore su internet e comprarmi diverse guide cartacee.. mi piace studiare molto bene i posti prima di andarci per ottenere il massimo dal viaggio (quindi che volo prendere, dove dormire, dove mangiare, cosa vedere, cosa fare, come risparmiare, e l'ultimo punto ma il piu' importante: chi, come e dove trombare) e non riuscirei a organizzare un viaggio da mille e una notte in così poco tempo.
Per cui da questo weekend inizio a mettermi in moto per pattaya, mentre l'alternativa si chiama una sola: 4-5 gg in germania (e risparmiare i gg di ferie per un'altra occasione).
Ora sono piu' sereno. Mi dispiace per i thai per il casino successo. Speriamo che ora la protesta venga portata avanti in modo piu' moderato: l'impressione è che alla fine quelli rimasti stesi a terra siano stati come al solito i poveracci, e non chi li fomentava o i piu' facinorosi.

"At 7pm on Friday Night we received information that the curfew has officially been lifted here in Pattaya. This follows a meeting held at Pattaya City Hall earlier on Friday where a number of business owners pleaded to the Pattaya Mayor to get the curfew lifted which they felt was uneccesary as there was no intelligence suggesting that any riots or other disturbances would take place here in Pattaya. Upon consultation with Police Leutenant General Asawin, the Region 2 Police Commander, the curfew in Pattaya was lifted, although it remains in force in other areas around Chonburi Province which remains under a State of Emergency. Whether, at this late hour, staff can be recalled to ensure that shops and entertainment venues can be opened on Friday Night is yet to be seen.
